Who wants a fun craft to do with the kids?? I’m always looking for things to do that are kiddo friendly. They need to be easy to make and easy on the budget. This fits all of those categories: a Toilet Roll Paper Butterfly!

I love crafts that use toilet paper rolls because everyone has them at home. If you don’t have construction paper or cardstock, you can pick up cardstock for pretty cheap at craft stores. And, there you have it: a cheap or even FREE craft project!

What you need:
Toilet paper roll
Construction paper or cardstock (in 2-3 colors)
Tape or glue

What you do:
1. Cut your construction paper or cardstock down to fit your toilet paper roll. Put tape or glue on your paper and attach. I like to let my daughter help with this part. She loves to put tape on the cardstock and help me tape it to the toilet paper roll.

2. Cut wings out of a second color of cardstock. This is pretty simple. Just cut a kind of heart shape! Make two sets since you’ll need one for each side. Attach wings to back side of toilet paper roll.

3. Now, it’s time for the antennae! Cut these out of cardstock and attach to the top of your toilet paper roll.

4. Your butterfly needs a face. Let your kiddo draw the face however he or she wants.

And, you’re done! How cute is this?? And, your kiddo will love it! Want another fun and easy toilet paper roll craft to do? Check out our DIY: Fluffy Snowman tutorial!
