Ever wonder what you can do with laundry bottles after they are empty? Today for our reusing project we are going to make some earrings.

  • Supplies needed:
  • Laundry bottle
  • Marker
  • Pliers
  • Scissors
  • Razor knife
  • Emery board or sand paper
  • 8 jump rings (Under $1 or make from paper clips)
  • 1 pair fish hook earrings (New under $1 or from a old pair)
  • Thumbtack
  • Finger nail polish (optional)

Now that you have all your supplies lets get started. First rinse out the laundry bottle.

Then cut off a big panel using the razor knife.

Then trace with the marker what ever shape you would like. I used a milk cap for my big part and then just free hand the small part.

Now take your scissors and cut them out.

Take the emery board or sand paper and file the edge so that it is smooth.

Next take the thumbtack and put a hole in the top of the big piece. Put a hole in the top and bottom of the small one.

At this point if you don’t like the color of the pieces. Take the finger nail polish and paint them what ever color you would like.I liked the white so I left mine.

Then put a jump ring in each of the holes.

Connect the big and small together with a jump ring.

Now on the top of the small one attach that jump ring to the fish hook earring.

Their you go now you have a new pair of earrings.

You can make a necklace to match by doing the same thing and just keep chaining them together until it is the size you want.
