1. Make a scoop.

2. Make small drinking cups.
The bottom half of a water bottle makes a great cup. Just snip off the last two inches of the bottle or so and there you have it! You can always give this little cup to children to use as they night time drinking cup, or just to play tea party with. They will love having a small cup they can easily hold.
3. Add it to a sensory table.
Kids love sensory play, so why not get a bucket of water and items for them to use in it? Add measuring cups, scoops, spoons, and empty water bottles of course. Being able to fill up the bottle and drain it will be fun and enhance their fine motor skills.
4. Make a sponge holder.
Another great way to reuse water bottles is to make a sponge holder. Cut the bottle in half and poke a few drain holes in the bottom. Then keep it by your sink where you can place your kitchen sponges in it. It will keep them nice and dry and allow any excess water to drain.
5. Start seedlings.
Cut a water bottle in half and poke some drainage holes. Fill with soil and then add some seeds or some seedlings. This little cup is the perfect size for keeping the roots of the plant safe and protected until it is ready to be moved outside.
