Method
- Start by greasing a 7-inch cake pan.
- Then add 1 cup of water to the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs until fully mixed.
- Dump batter into the greased cake pan.
- Cover the top of the pan with foil.
- Place the cake pan on the trivet inside the Instant Pot. Or you can also use a sling.
- Press the “Cake” button on the Instant Pot then set the mode to “Less”. Adjust the cooking time to 50 minutes.
- When it beeps that it is done, allow it to release the pressure naturally.
Glaze:
- Using a whisk, mix the powdered sugar and milk until it is to the consistency you would like.
- Then add the zest and mix well.
- Slowly pour the glaze over top of the cooled cake. Then let it set until the glaze hardens.
