Nothin Fancy Down Home Southern Style Meatloaf Recipe
What You Need:
1/2 Medium Sized Onion Diced
1 Bell Pepper Diced (red, green or yellow will work)
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tsp. Black Pepper
1 lb Ground Beef (turkey will work also)
2 Eggs Beaten
1 1/4 Cups Ketchup
6 Slices Bread Crumbled (if you are low on bread, one sleeve of saltine crackers works also)
How To Make:
Preheat oven to 350°. Then in a large bowl mix all ingredients together other then 1/4 cup ketchup, save that for later. Make sure you mix it all together well, I use my hand to do this as to make sure it mixes. Then dump into in normal size loaf pan. Take your hand and make a groove around the edge of the pan. By making a little groove around it keeps the grease and juice from bubbling over in the oven. Now bake at 350° for 45 min. Now take the remainder of the ketchup and spread over the top of the meatloaf and bake for another 15 min.
That’s it! You are ready to eat! I hope you enjoy my meatloaf recipe. If you are looking for more recipe ideas, head over and check out our recipe category.
