Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
Who’s up for a super easy dessert recipe today? This one takes no time at all to make, and people will think you slaved away at it! Here’s the secret – Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. That’s it! Adding those candies to a pan of brownies makes them SO decadent!
I used a box brownie mix because, if you’re like me, you don’t have time to bake from scratch. Life is just too busy, and I wanted to make this yummy dessert as easy as possible for you!
This is a great one to have the kids help with as well. My daughter helped mix the brownie batter and had a lot of fun putting the Reese’s cups into the pan!
Let’s get started!
What you need:
- 1 Box Brownie Mix
- Eggs
- Oil
- Water
- 1 Bag Reeces Peanut Butter Cups
What you do:
Make up your brownie mix according to the package directions and pour into pan.
Add your Reese’s cups to the mix. I used an 8×8 pan, and I used 9 Reese’s cups – 3 per row. When you push them down, they won’t go completely under the batter, but that’s OK. When you’re done, you can just spread the batter out, and it will cover the candy.
Bake according to the package directions.
That’s it! These are THE BEST brownies I have ever had.
Here are a few other tips:
- To make sure you cut the brownies without slicing into the Reese’s cups, you can put a Reese’s cup on your brownies when they cool to measure where they are in the batter!
- You don’t have to freeze the Reese’s cups before you bake. I actually was planning on freezing them but forgot, and they still remained solid while the brownies baked. I was pretty relieved that they didn’t melt!
This is a great dessert to take to a potluck or party – people will think you baked for hours!
