We as humans are always told when we are out at night to wear something bright or reflective. Well what about your little furry friends? I was sent a wonderful collar to try that can help with that. Its is called Safe Glow LED collar. It has a LED light on it that turns on. This collar as three settings on it. You can either have it flash slow or fast, or if you would like just make the light stay on.

This is great for all those late night emergency walks. We do a lot of these when we are on vacations or in a strange place. Not only can you see your dog, others can see them too. If you are a road walker this not only will benefit them it will help you to stay safe as well.
These collars come in three different sizes and are adjustable.

My little guy has so much hair it is hard to see that he is wearing the collar. You can see it more at night when it is glowing. I did get the small size but it is still a little big even after adjusting. He is a Pomeranian and only weighs 9 lbs, if you need to use it as a comparison. Even though it is a little big I still like that I can snap it over his harness so that he can be seen at night.

The heavy duty ring that you clip the leash to is at the top of the collar. This helps keep the light part facing up on the back of their neck so that it can be seen easier.

It has a heavy duty plastic clasp that you fasten the collar with. The light pack is found just past the clasp and it has a button on it to turn it on and off. You push it one time from the fast flash two time for slow, three time to stay on and the forth click will turn it off. You can also find the long-life lithium battery here. Because it is a long life battery it reduces the frequency of battery replacement. When you do have to change it you can find the battery at most retailers. The collar can handle a little moisture but is not fully waterproof.

If you would like one of these to help keep you and your pet safe you can find them at Dogtrainingcollars.com. They are only $29.95, but right now the are on sale for $24.95. These would also make a great doggy shower gift. Yes I just said doggy shower. Some people have showers for new doggy parents just like baby showers. I have always thought it was a cute idea as they are definitely part of the family.

While you are there make sure you take a look at their other cool training colors, as they have a lot to look at. If you do get one or have one, I would love to hear what you think. How has it helped you and your dog?
