Back To School Time Saving Tips

The back to school bell will be ringing before you know it. Why not save a little time as well as money as you ease into the new year? Below, you will find some time saving tips for the back to school rush! There is no need to stress when heading back to school, instead, take a look at how easy it is to get back for less and save some stress.

Time Savings Tips for the Back to School Rush

1. Start early.
The week before, start getting use to the new bed times and wake times. This will help kids get into the routine, know what to expect, and in turn move smoothly and save time in the morning and evening. If you need a few ideas how to change and adjust to new kids bedtime you can read my post on Setting A Kids Bedtime & Help Them Adjust.

2. Gather items the evening before.
The night before school, spend 10 minutes gathering shoes and back packs. This will keep you from wasting time in the morning looking for them.

3. Pack lunches the evening before.
Don’t use up precious time in the morning making sandwiches. Make lunches the night before and shave at least 15 minutes off your morning.

4. Lay all clothing items out.
Place all of your clothing items out, all the way down to the underwear and shoes so that you don’t spend a single minute looking for clean clothes and matches.

5. Make a checklist, and use it!
Keep a simple checklist by the front door so you can do a simple inventory on your way out. This way you will be sure you have everything you need when you need it.

How easy are these? Give these 5 simple tips a try and you can easily shave time off each morning as you get your child out of the door for a day of learning.
