Flaxseed and flaxseed oil are great for enhancing your energy levels. Add ground flaxseed to smoothies, a main entree, or just about anything you eat for a quick pick me up. Use the oil on salads or other foods a new dressing. This energizing food is full of Omega 3 and Omega 6, which are great for your immune system and overall health.

Absolutely any part of the coconut is good for you. It even has anti-aging qualities that keep it from going bad in the sunlight. Some of the many benefits of coconut are fiber, potassium, electrolytes, and protein. You can do just about anything with this food. Use coconut oil for cooking, eat the meat, juice every bit of it, and add what you like to your smoothies. Even a teaspoon of this in the morning will give you more energy for the day!

This amazing algae gives poultry, fish, and red meat a run for their money with 300% more protein than any of them! As an added benefit, it doesn’t contain cholesterol. Just a small amount in a smoothie, meal, or juice can leave you feeling energized for the day.

Chocolate lovers will be happy to confirm that cacao offers quite a bit to raise energy levels. Zinc, copper, antioxidants, magnesium, and iron are just some of the benefits that cacao has to offer. However, don’t be confused into thinking that cheap chocolate bars give you what you need. Instead, try cacao seeds, ground up and added to your favorite smoothie.

Everyday I have 1 tbsp. of coconut oil, mixed with 1 tbsp fresh ground flax seed (a coffee grinder works great for grinding flax seed) I mix in some unsweeten coconut, and about tbsp of natural peanut butter and some carob chips, mix well and eat like a desert…taste great and gives you an extra boost.
